Translators wanted

We translate mainly for the automotive industry via the largest agencies, from English into French for 25 years. This specialization is very appreciated and we will continue this way.

Our makes are General Motors, Chrysler-Jeep, Ford Motor, Mercedes, Porsche, Bentley, Honda, Kawazaki, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota , Ssang Yong, Peugeot, Volvo, Hyundai, CNH, John Deere, Komatsu, JPG, Mercury Marine, Yamaha, Harley Davidson, London Taxi, etc. The vehicles are cars, trucks, motorcycles, marine motors, mowers, excavators, agricultural and heavy equipment, etc.

We decided to maintain our specialization for the automotive industry but into (and from) most of the main and useful european languages.

The source languages will be those of the main european automakers : English, French, German, Italian. The target languages will be those of their main european markets: SPANISH, RUSSIAN, SERBO-CROAT, ITALIAN, PORTUGUESE ( Europe , Brazil ), ENGLISH, FRENCH (France, Canada ), DUTCH ( Netherlands , Belgium ), TURKISH, GERMAN, SWEDISH, DANISH, NORWEGIAN, GREEK.

This means a much larger market (4 source languages x 14 target languages) than the sole English/French pair. We have a target annual invoicing of 2 million euros. We will spend 50,000 euros a year in advertising.

This goal needs the cooperation of a lot of true automotive specialists. For each language pair, we need a main translator and another translator – more if possible. All of them have an excellent knowledge of the motor vehicles and +3 years of experience in the translation of automotive documents (5 years for the main translators). They will be free-lance.

All translators must be able to translate error free, 3000 new words a day (translator) or 5000 (main translator). This will be confirmed by a short timed test. The main translator candidates will have to anonymously evaluate the other candidates for their language pair.

Our selling price to the agencies is different from one language group to the other. It will be an average market price as seen on proZ directories. The price for you is 75% from this price for a main translator, and 70% for the other translators. The difference is used to manage the company, to search new customers and dispatch the jobs (25%), hoping to get a final profit. 5% is used by the main translator to help the other translators.
